Control Panel Wireman - Clydebank

Join a Leading Switchgear Manufacturer. First Achieves Engineering Team is actively recruiting a Control Panel Wireman to join our client's team in Clydebank. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Fitter looking to advance their career with a respected industry leader.

About the Role

Our client operates a four-day working week at their Clydebank factory, giving you the benefit of a long weekend every week. Please note, due to the hands-on nature of this role, remote or hybrid working options are not available.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reading and interpreting electrical drawings to wire control panels
• Wiring and fitting of control panels, switchgear, switchboards, and distribution boards
• Common control wiring and PLC wiring
• Fitting copper busbars
• Wiring and assembling Motor Control Centres (MCCs)
• Occasional UK-based site visits may be required

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar panel wiring role is essential
• Strong knowledge of switchgear and switchboard wiring
• Experience with electrical testing of switchgear panels and MCCs is a plus
• Relevant qualifications or time-served apprenticeship preferred
