Job description

A successful family owned building company specialising in insurance repairs are seeking a Painter & Decorator to join their team working across the North East due to increase in volume of work through long term clients.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for completing primarily domestic insurance repair works as per the job card instructions.
• Complete works to a high standard efficiently, maintaining health and safety on site, liaising with other trades and customer satisfaction.
• Work across multiple sites carrying out: wallpaper hanging, all aspects of painting and decorating, external painting, preparing site for safe working.
• Strip out properties in preparation for building works.
• Assist other trades to complete works as required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a similar role working in occupied domestic environment.
• Experience in all aspects of painting and decorating.
• Experience of hanging wallcoverings.
• NVQ 2 qualified or qualified by experience.
• Full valid driving license due to the nature of the role.
• Professional, be able to self manage and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Able to demonstrate the ability to work as a team and excellent communication skills.

In return you will receive a salary of £32,800 per annum (40 hour week) plus overtime at time and a half, company pension and company van.
