Job description
Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of ER, Orthopaedic Tech Certified performs a care to patients in a fast-paced, high stress environment. You will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.

Description

As an Orthopaedic Technician (Ortho Tech), you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment utilized in the care of orthopaedic patients (clients, residents). You will observe, monitor, report and document changes in the patient's physical, mental and emotional state, while providing safe and effective, quality care. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
