Job description

Are you a highly motivated registered nurse with the drive, ambition, and commitment to deliver the highest standards of patient care? Sulis Hospital Bath, a leading healthcare provider in Somerset, is looking for an Ophthalmology Specialist Nurse to work in our Outpatient Department.

You will be providing the highest standards of care for our ophthalmology patients, considering the specialist clinical needs of each patient. The following skills are essential for the role:

  1. Visual Acuity tests.
  2. Biometry measurements.
  3. OCT Macula & Glaucoma scans.
  4. Pentacam scans.
  5. Visual Field tests.
  6. Assist with Intravitreal Injections.
  7. Assist with minor eyelid procedures.

This is a permanent 37.5-hour role requiring DBS clearance. The Outpatient Department is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. Shifts are variable according to the needs of the Ophthalmology service.
