You will oversee day-to-day operations, use SCADA to optimize production, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Overview

Managing the day to day operations of the evaporation plant from raw material to final product. Using SCADA to manage and adjust plant parameters to optimise production. Working to plant SOPs at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day to day operations of the evaporation plant from raw material to final product.
  • Use SCADA to manage and adjust plant parameters to optimise production.
  • Regularly monitor and document plant parameters to ensure production intermediates and final products remain within the required specification.
  • Manage production rates and volumes to ensure all tank capacities and product volumes are managed.
  • Collect production samples from specified stages of the production process and complete the necessary laboratory tests to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Document in detail all process activities, actions and testing results.
  • Manage operational assets so they are always available and operating at their optimum, including flushing pipework, cleaning equipment and clearing inline blockages.
  • Address firefighting plant issues as and when they arise to minimise production loss.
  • Maintain effective communication with the client\'s production team and ensure they are regularly updated with plant availability.
  • Manage chemical stocks and advise when these need to be replenished.
  • Work to plant SOPs at all times.
  • Maintain and contribute to the site\'s safety culture.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience of working in the chemical industry or experience of working in a production environment.
  • Some engineering experience desirable but not required.
  • A good understanding of health and safety.
  • FLT licence desirable but not required.
  • SCADA knowledge desirable but not required.
  • IT proficiency – experience of working with either Microsoft Office or Google Drive.
Benefits and Conditions
  • Salary: £41,129.05 per annum plus Veolia benefits.
  • Hours: 12 hour shifts working nights, days and weekends, on a rota as part of a 5 person team covering the plant 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 14 shifts covered every 35 days; holiday entitlement included as part of the shift rota.
