Job summary

A food manufacturing company on the outskirts of Bedford is seeking an organized Operational Support individual. You will provide critical support in safety management, inventory upkeep, and contractor oversight. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, offering 24 days of holiday and a competitive salary. Experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting and a driving license are required.

Overview

Are you a highly organised individual, with excellent administration and IT skills, who has experience working in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment?

This varied role is providing operational support at a food manufacturing company, covering lots of aspects across safety and facilities management, stores and inventory, purchasing and much more!

Located on the outskirts of Bedford - the side closest to Renhold / Great Barford - easily commutable from St Neots, Sandy, Ampthill, Flitwick, etc.

You must have driving license and access to a vehicle, as you will be visiting other manufacturing sites in Hitchin and Biggleswade from time to time as well.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting risk assessments and maintaining the COSHH data sheet file
  • Ordering supplies and consumables like tea/coffee, stationery, etc. for the site
  • Maintaining a tidy storeroom for spare parts and components
  • Helping to conduct stock takes and put stock deliveries away for the Engineering stores
  • Hosting contractors when they come onto site and checking their work permits, RAMS, etc.
  • Keeping training records up to date for Engineers and organising training when it's expired
Details

This is a full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday 8-5. There is a competitive salary on offer alongside 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and 5% pension contributions.
