Unify are excited to be partnering with a leading construction plant hire business who are seeking a Small Depot Operations Leader to join their team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to step into a key leadership position. You\'ll be responsible for leading day-to-day depot operations, managing resources effectively and supporting field teams to meet customer demands. If you\'re a natural leader with strong plant hire knowledge and the drive to make an impact, we\'d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate large-scale projects, supporting operators and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Manage depot operations, including goods in/out, plant management and parts ordering.
  • Report plant damage, service issues and coordinate timely maintenance with mobile fitters.
  • Monitor depot performance, schedules and resource allocation to drive efficiency.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to depot teams, ensuring high standards are met consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, systems and invoicing accuracy.
  • Support and implement business initiatives and continuous improvement measures.
  • Build relationships with key customers, ensuring service excellence at every stage.
  • Work closely with sales teams to provide positive, solution-focused support to customer queries.
  • Champion HSQE standards across the depot to safeguard people and business interests.
  • Manage cost centre budgets and payroll expenditure effectively.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in plant hire, construction or heavy equipment operations.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Valid CPCS tickets and PTS Medical/SCM (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 10 years\' experience in the plant sector.
