VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for an Operational Manager to join a busy and growing accountancy practice. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards across the firm, and driving team performance.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in people management and will be confident handling disciplinary matters and holding difficult conversations where required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and leadership skills who enjoys balancing firm but fair management with supporting staff development.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the practice to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams to deliver excellent client service.

  • Manage performance issues proactively, including disciplinary processes when necessary.

  • Implement and monitor policies, procedures, and KPIs to achieve operational excellence.

  • Work closely with the leadership team to identify improvements and deliver solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with HR, health & safety, and professional standards.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
