About the Role

As a Logistics Officer, you'll be at the heart of keeping our Waste and Street Cleansing services running like a well oiled machine. Think of yourself as the behind the scenes coordinator who makes sure crews have the right work, at the right time, in the right place.

You'll be the person who brings order to the daily operational puzzle—creating and adjusting service schedules (workpacks), solving problems on the fly, and helping shape smarter, more efficient ways of working. Using data, digital tools, and great communication, you'll help us plan ahead, respond quickly, and keep our services transparent and reliable.

Every day, you'll support frontline teams so they can deliver excellent services to our residents. From refining routes to allocating resources, you'll make sure operations run smoothly, services are delivered on time, and performance standards are consistently met. In short: you help turn good plans into great results.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

You can confidently organise logistics for all sorts of services—from waste and trade collections to street cleansing, bulky waste, white goods, and bin deliveries. You love bringing order to moving parts and making operations run smoothly.

You've got a sharp eye for monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs. When something's slipping, you're the first to spot it—and even better—the first to put things right.

Whether it's a resident with a query, a customer with a complaint, or a stakeholder needing an update, you communicate clearly and kindly—by phone, email, webform, or in person. You handle Have Your Say (HYS) cases with professionalism and empathy.

You work smoothly with frontline crews, line managers, contractors, residents, developers, and community groups—helping everyone stay connected, informed, and able to deliver great service. You bring people together to keep operations running without disruption.
