Overview

Can you manage a busy caseload, prioritise your own workload and work effectively as part of a team? Are you a confident and experienced communicator, experienced in dealing with the public and contractors? Enfield Council is looking to recruit an Operational Delivery Manager for the waste & recycling service. Offering an exciting opportunity to implement, improve and monitor new and existing waste & recycling operations. This role offers lots of variety and you will be able to use your skills in communication, adaptability, attention to detail, organisation and customer service to great effects. You will be part of a growing team, providing high quality service ensuring that targets and standards are met in the provision of the service, while supporting the Head of Waste & Recycling Services in the efficient management and delivery of the Waste & Street Cleansing Services for the London Borough of Enfield while supporting the Strategic Waste and Recycling Manager with the implementation of service changes. You will be providing efficient and competent, performance management of the designated supervisory team to deliver the best client and customer service. The role of the Operational Delivery Manager is to be responsible for the day to day operations and managerial functions required to deliver a robust and effective front-line service. To manage Supervisors proactively & directly and indirectly manage front line staff. Monitoring and delivering customer focused service outcomes to ensure effective health & safety and welfare arrangements at all times. Ensuring, at all times, that employees carry out their duties in compliance with all legal requirements and in accordance with Council and Service procedures.

It is essential that you have experience in waste management ideally within front line operations and managing a large staff compliments within a customer focused environment, excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for the environment and a good knowledge of waste legislation , Microsoft ICT systems including excel, word and outlook.
