Role overview

Join our service delivery team supporting a single customer site. You’ll be the first person called when office devices (mainly print/MFDs) need help—clearing jams, doing first-line repairs, swapping common parts/consumables, and keeping the fleet running smoothly. You’ll also monitor devices via dashboards, move/relocate units on site, and escape complex issues to field engineers when needed. An on-site electric van is provided for your work.

What you’ll do
  • First-line fixes: Clear jams and errors, perform basic mechanical/electrical repairs, replace common parts (rollers, trays, filters) and consumables.
  • Preventive maintenance: Run regular checks to keep uptime high; clean devices and surrounding areas.
  • Fleet monitoring: Use IT tools/dashboards to track device status, toner levels, alerts, and usage; take proactive actions.
  • Moves & setups: Safely move/relocate machines within the site and help with basic setups under standard procedures.
  • Inventory & ordering: Maintain on-site parts/consumables inventory; place replenishment orders as needed.
  • Ticketing & records: Log all work in the service system (tickets, parts used, device notes) and keep accurate on-site records.
  • Escalation: When an issue goes beyond first-line scope, escape to engineers per the agreed procedures and service levels.
  • Customer liaison: Be the friendly on-site contact, coordinate with the Customer Service/Service Desk team, and update users on status.
  • Van stewardship: Use and charge the on-site electric van responsibly; keep it clean and ready for operations.
What you’ll bring
  • Entry-level experience: Eager to learn with basic mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • Foundational IT skills: Comfortable with device dashboards, ticketing tools, simple driver/connection checks (Wi‑Fi/Ethernet, IP, USB), and following step‑by‑step procedures.
  • Problem‑solving mindset: Know when to try a first fix and when to escape.
  • Organized & reliable: Good at record‑keeping and following schedules/SOPs.
  • Full driving license.
  • Security Check (SC) clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
Physical & work requirements
  • Active role: frequent walking/standing; bending/squatting; lifting up to 30 kg; and driving for 50%+ of the day as needed on site.
  • Works under clearly defined procedures with close support available.
  • Follows all safety and site rules.
Success looks like
  • High device uptime and clean, well‑maintained fleet.
  • Quick first‑line fixes and smart escalations.
  • SLA targets achieved and happy end users.
  • Accurate logs and tidy parts/consumables inventory.
Additional Requirements

Security Check (SC) clearance is a requirement for this role.
