Job Description:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the store's daily operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

The customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will be encouraged to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

You will be Responsible For
  • Serving customers with passion and pride, offering natural and friendly service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety and following training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
  • Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
  • Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
  • Possibly running shifts in the absence of your Shift Leader or Store Manager.
  • Following all training to keep yourself, colleagues, and customers safe and compliant.
  • If applicable, managing day-to-day operations of the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks.
