The On Wing Support Technician will provide both on wing and off wing support at our operations based at London Stansted Airport.

In the On Wing Support Technician role, you will provide engine troubleshooting, field repairs, and line maintenance while developing positive relationships with customers through outstanding customer awareness.

Job Description

Join GE Aerospace On Wing Support London, as an On Wing Support Technician, where you will play a critical role in providing support for one of the largest operators in the world directly on the line. In this role, you will troubleshoot, perform field repairs, and conduct line maintenance, all while building positive relationships with our customers through outstanding customer awareness and service.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Completed a formal engineering apprenticeship or relevant industry experience within a technically complex industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively interpret detailed documented work instructions.
  • Team player with flexible approach and a positive attitude.
  • Experience with using Borescope equipment is a requirement and experience of working with large commercial aircraft engines.
Eligibility Requirements

Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to domestic and international locations to perform maintenance of GE/CFM commercial engines.

Desired Skills / Experience
  • Approach work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both team and customer objectives.
  • Lean and problem solving experience.
  • Strong communication skills and problem solving ability are a must.
  • Possess a desire to learn and grow with advances in technology.
  • LEAP, CFM56-5 and CFM56-7 engine experience.
  • Line maintenance, module removal & installation, LRU/EBU removals and installations.
  • Demonstrated quality, compliance and customer satisfaction skills.
Additional Information

STN - Shift Work - 4 on 4 off working nightshift (20:00pm to 06:00am).
