About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Ofsted Registered Manager to join a highly respected and specialist provider of care and education services. This is a full‑time role based in Ormskirk, Lancashire, initially covering maternity leave. Following this, you will transition into the management of a new service currently in development.

Our client is renowned for supporting children and young people with adverse life experiences, trauma, autism, and learning difficulties. Their holistic approach integrates Care, Education, and Therapeutic services, providing person‑centred support and tailored education to meet the individual needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and high‑quality standards of care and education.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a dedicated team of staff, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
  • Ensure that person‑centred care plans and educational programmes are tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies, including health professionals and local authorities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the service, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance outcomes for children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records and reports in line with Ofsted and regulatory standards.
  • Support the transition to a new service, contributing to its development and ensuring that the highest standards are maintained.
About You
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted‑regulated service, with a proven track record in working with children and young people.
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory frameworks governing children's care, education, and therapy services.
  • Experience in managing and leading multidisciplinary teams in a care and education setting.
  • A compassionate, person‑centred approach with a passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, staff, and external partners.
