A leading offshore wind energy firm seeks a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to oversee electrical safety on a high-profile 66kV offshore project. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage all required documentation. Candidates must demonstrate previous offshore experience with high voltage systems and have relevant certifications. Senior Authorised Person (SAP) - 66kV Offshore Wind

Location: Offshore (Mobilisation from Northeast)

Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months + Likely Extension

Rate: £850 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)

Eligibility: Full UK Working Rights

Join a leading offshore wind project as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and play a critical role in ensuring electrical safety and operational excellence. As the SAP, you'll provide safety from the system under client Electrical Safety Rules, carrying out isolations, earthing, and issuing safety documentation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a high‑profile renewable energy project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe working practices, conduct risk assessments, audits, and promote a positive Health & Safety culture.
  • Perform SAP duties under client High Voltage safety rules (Model Distribution Safety Rules).
  • Produce and review switching schedules.
  • Provide isolations and safety documentation for the project.
  • Assist with testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems.
  • Offer personal supervision where required.
  • Conduct and review point‑of‑work risk assessments.
Requirements
  • Previous offshore windfarm 66kV experience essential.
  • Full GWO certification: Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights.
  • Offshore medical certificate including Chester Step.
  • Offshore HUET.
  • Knowledge of WTG WTSR and Electrical Safety Rules.
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Current SAP authorisation to 66kV or above (33kV with multi‑feed experience considered).
  • Full UK working rights.
