A leading electrical services provider is seeking a Low Voltage Switchgear Field Service Engineer to retrofit and maintain electrical switchgear and transformers across the UK. The role requires travel and involves tasks such as planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and upgrading protection relays. Ideal candidates will have experience in electrical service roles and knowledge of power stations and commercial properties.

Qualifications

• Experienced in retrofitting and servicing electrical switchgear, transformers, and protection relays.
• Experience in power stations, hospitals, steel works, or commercial properties is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Conduct routine maintenance, full service inspections, and upgrade obsolete protection relays.

Skills

• Off shore commissioning experience ideal
• Electrician or Electrical Technician maintenance or retrofit experience ideally through the apprentice route.
• Low and medium voltage experience of Power Stations, Hospitals, Steel works, industrial or commercial properties.

Role

• Electrical Service and Planned Preventative Maintenance PPM
• Routine maintenance, full service legacy and routine inspections.
• Upgrading and replacing obsolete protection relays, control relays and other switchgear.
