A rapidly expanding UK and International freight forward organisation is looking to add to their ocean export freight forwarding team and are looking to employ an Ocean Export Coordinator to be responsible for order management, dealing with customer enquiries, export documentation, bills of lading, and working in close cooperation with our offices while servicing UK customers.

Role: Ocean Export Coordinator

Location: Redditch

Basic Salary: £28k to £35k, plus bonus

Benefits: Pension

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:45am to 5pm

Responsibilities:
  • Arrange export collections for UK-based customers, including checking deliveries, instructing customs department to issue customs documents, bills of lading, and other administrative tasks.
  • Handle LCL, FCL shipments, entries, C of Os, liaising with shipping lines, co-loaders, hauliers, and the wider customer base.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal departments via email and telephone.
  • Update and verify the Order Management System with customer booking details.
  • Liaise with Operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure they are completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure consignments have correct information.
  • Proactively resolve issues with customers and colleagues.
  • Ensure consignments are rated correctly for accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Provide KPIs and reports as required.
  • Resolve credit management queries when necessary.
Experience Required:

Must possess sea/ocean export experience, including bookings, quotes, export entries, and producing bills of lading. Looking for a highly motivated candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience and good attention to detail.
