Overview

Occupational Therapy Assistant within Adult Social Care in Haringey, UK, earning up to £23.71 per hour. This ongoing contract offers a full-time opportunity to join a supportive team committed to enhancing the independence of adults within the community.

Responsibilities

• Engage in the OT Duty team to reach out and assess residents awaiting triage, OT assessment, or equipment to enhance accessibility in their homes.
• Collaborate with families of children, older individuals, and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions to promote independence through equipment and home adaptations.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidently use IT processes and applications.
• Exhibit outstanding customer care skills and handle resident inquiries and assessments with professionalism.
• Conduct standard Occupational Therapy Assistant duties, including visits and assessments.
• Pick up or collect small equipment (e.g., bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from a local store, deliver to residences, and install and demonstrate safe use of these items.
• Possessing a valid driver’s license is advantageous but not essential; taxi expenses for equipment delivery can be claimed.
