Overview

Occupational Health Departments are based at both Ipswich and Colchester Hospital, specialising in the prevention and management of work-related health issues. We are looking to recruit two full-time Clinic Nurses to join the team. A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel across ESNEFT sites and to external customer premises.

Responsibilities
  • Pre placement screening
  • Needle stick management
  • Immunisations and venepuncture
  • Contribute to the duty nurse support available daily
  • Carrying out audiometry, eye tests, urine samples, lung function tests and drug tests as client needs require

You will help in preventing health problems, promoting healthy living and working conditions, assessing and managing workplace risks, and health screening.

Requirements
  • Essential: Registered Nurse
  • Beneficial but not essential: Occupational Health or Practice Nurse experience (full training will be provided)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries, within the team and with clients
  • Knowledge and experience of using an IT information management system for record keeping
  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel across ESNEFT sites and external premises
  • Full induction with supervised practice and an Occupational Health specific competency development programme
