Overview

Occupational Health Departments are based at Ipswich and Colchester Hospital, specialising in prevention and management of work-related health issues. We are recruiting two full-time Clinic Nurses to join the team. A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel across ESNEFT sites and to external customer premises.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-placement screening
  • Needle stick management
  • Immunisations and venepuncture
  • Participation in the duty nurse rota for daily support
  • Possible clinical tasks including audiometry, eye tests, urine samples, lung function tests and drug tests as client needs require
  • Assessing and managing workplace risks and promoting healthy living and working conditions
  • Health screening and general preventive health activities
Qualifications and skills
  • Registered Nurse
  • Beneficial but not essential to have Occupational Health or Practice Nurse experience; full training will be provided
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across professional boundaries and with clients
  • Experience or ability to use IT information management system for record keeping
