Ward 23 is an orthogeriatric ward with 26 patients. Patient's are over 65 years old and requires assistance with mobility, personal care and activities of daily living. Will be required to assist patients with dementia and delirium, and are also at a high risk of falls. This can be challenging and busy at times. We are a dementia friendly ward with an enthusiastic team who seek to deliver quality care to all out patients whilst supporting relatives and carers as well.

Perform personal care tasks, assist with pressure area care. Requires good communication skills, to be able communicate with family, patients and staff. Will need to assist at meal times, ordering meals and feeding patients. Complete observations, record care given. Assist nurses with tasks, to also assist with confused dementia patients. Complete food charts, fluid charts and at times organise activities with patients.
