Nursery Support Assistant

📍 Locations: York, Acomb, Helmsley & Kirkbymoorside
💰 Pay: Competitive hourly rates (dependent on experience)
📆 Start Date: ASAP
🕒 Hours: Flexible shifts between 8am-6pm
📄 Contract: Ad hoc, part-time or full-time opportunities available

We are currently recruiting Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Support Staff for a well-established nursery group with multiple sites across York, Acomb, Helmsley, and Kirkbymoorside. With several settings and ongoing demand, there are plenty of opportunities available, making this role ideal if you're looking for regular full‑time work, part‑time hours, or ad hoc shifts that fit around other commitments. This flexibility also makes the role perfect for students or anyone seeking additional income.

You’ll be working with children aged 0‑5 years, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing in warm, welcoming nursery environments.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting babies, toddlers, and preschool children with daily routines and learning activities
  • Encouraging communication, confidence, and emotional development
  • Assisting with personal care routines, including feeding and toileting where required
  • Supporting engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
  • Working across multiple nursery sites, offering variety and experience
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
