Role Overview:

This is a brilliant opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to step into a leadership role within a vibrant early years setting. As Room Leader, you’ll oversee the daily operations of your designated room, lead a team of practitioners, and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Early Years Practitioners to deliver high-quality education and care for children aged 0–5
• Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
• Support the personal, social, and emotional development of all children
• Maintain accurate records of children’s learning and progress
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards ï¸
• Role model best practice and support the ongoing development of junior staff

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or a related field
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a supervisory or senior role
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ï¸
• A passion for early years education and a nurturing approach
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset and positive attitude

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one – DBS cost may be covered by the applicant.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or related subject.
• Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and experience in early years settings.
