Overview

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner - Primary School Setting

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to support each child's holistic development.
  • Create a safe, warm, and enriching environment, nurturing curiosity, independence, and social growth.
  • Carry out regular observations and assessments, contributing to meaningful learning journeys and development plans.
  • Build open and supportive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider nursery team.
  • Provide personal care support—e.g., feeding, toileting, changing—ensuring children's comfort and dignity.
  • Foster positive behavior and guide social skills using gentle, effective approaches consistent with nursery policies.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children are always maintained.
Requirements
  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
  • Hands‑on experience in a nursery or early years environment is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of EYFS principles, early child development, and effective pedagogical practices.
