Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery group in Heworth, York. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, excellent communication and team building skill.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

Responsibilities
  • Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
  • Working closely with director and managing KPI\'s
  • Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
  • Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
  • Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child\'s interindividual learning and development
  • Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
  • Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
  • Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
  • Marketing the nursery, arranging leaflet drops, open days etc
  • To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
  • To attend out of working hours\' activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents\' evenings and special events
  • Working 40 Hours per week
