Job summary

A local childcare provider in Stockport is looking for a cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the nursery. The role requires proven experience, focusing on ensuring safety and cleanliness. Successful candidates will perform various cleaning tasks and must pass a DBS and reference check. This is a part-time role with 15 hours per week from 5pm to 8pm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role required.
• Must be able to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the nursery.
• Subject to DBS and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the nursery including toilets and kitchens.
• Report any maintenance issues affecting cleaning.
• Ensure all high and low-level dusting is completed.

Job description

We are excited to be looking for a cleaner for our Stepping Stones Nursery.

Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery clean and tidy, reporting any potential maintenance issues to the Maintenance team.

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience in a similar role
• Able to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the setting at all times
• Be able to identify any needs/and or issues around the nursery
• subject to DBS and reference check.

Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:

• To clean all areas of the day nursery including toilets, kitchen, play rooms and staff areas
• To clean all surfaces of the day nursery including floors, paintwork, tiles and walls.
• Report any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas.
• To remove all bottles and recyclable materials to the relevant position or bin and ensuring anything recyclable is recycled.
• ensuring that shortages do not prevent cleaning.
• Ensure all high and low level dusting is completed.
• To be committed to the safeguarding of all childreN

Hours

15 hours per week, 3 hours per day - 5pm-8pm
