Job description

We are looking for a Nurse Advisor in the South of England to help us keep growing. Role & Responsibilities

You will be part of a field-based team to drive education within the opioid dependence treatment sector. This will be delivered via best practice sharing and acting as the disease area expert to identify efficiencies and improve patient outcomes. You will be expected to drive extensively, predominately supporting treatment services in the South of England, however, travel and overnight stays will be expected across the UK.

Internally this position reports to the Medical Director, UK and Ireland with day-to-day support provided by the Senior Nurse Advisor, UK and Ireland. There is a requirement for collaborating cross‑functionally, particularly with the Regional Leads for the relevant geography.

  • Responsible for timely and high-quality deliverables from Medical Affairs, primarily providing training support externally to services within the defined geography
  • Work closely with cross‑functional colleagues to identify and engage services in need of additional training support
  • Address unmet training needs through the collaborative development and implementation of targeted training resources
  • Collect and act on in-depth knowledge of local treatment provision, identifying opportunities to improve patient care and retention in treatment
  • Contribute to the identification of key external experts as part of field activities
  • In accordance with valid guidance documents, collaborate with colleagues in the Medical Affairs function to coordinate timely response to medical information requests that arise as part of training or other field activities. This role is not a medical information responder.
  • Assist the global and regional Medical Affairs organisation as needed at national and international meetings and conferences
  • In relevant parts, responsible for assuring compliance for Medical Affairs with the company’s quality system and applicable policies, guidance documents and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in life science, or other scientific qualification relevant to the therapy area. A nursing qualification is preferred.
  • Maintain appropriate professional registration as applicable (e.g. maintain Nursing registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council)
  • Experience delivering treatment of Opioid Dependence
  • Track record of peer or other educational activities
  • Have an understanding of relevant compliance requirements in the geographic area (i.e., the ABPI Code of Practice and MHRA Blue Guide)
  • Demonstrate and maintain up to date expertise in relevant treatment guidelines (e.g., Drug Misuse and Dependence : UK Guidelines on Clinical Management (‘Orange Guidelines’)
