Job description
Overview

Highland Hospital is adding Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to our inpatient Obstetrics team. APPs will work three (3) 12‑hour shifts per week, totaling 36 clinical hours and 4 administrative hours. The role supports a growing patient population and enhances labor & delivery care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, promote, and contribute to quality patient care throughout the hospital continuum.
  • Provide clinical leadership through advanced practice role‑modeling and professional communication.
  • Monitor clinical care of patients and give expertise to improve outcomes.
  • Deliver direct patient care to a complex obstetric population and document care promptly.
  • Analyze and resolve patient care issues ethically and culturally sensitively.
  • Use advanced concepts in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient problems.
  • Teach OB/Gyn, Family Medicine, and Emergency Medicine residents, medical students, and junior learners in labor & delivery standards.
Qualifications
  • Licensed NP or PA in New York State.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience, preferably inpatient Labor & Delivery or obstetrical triage.
  • Certification in Fetal Monitoring required within twelve (12) months of hire and documented competency every two (2) years.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, teaching, independent clinical practice, MS Office, and teamwork skills.
Salary Range

Salary Range: $98,000.00 – $130,083.20 annually. Individual salaries will be determined within this range based on market data, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
