Job description

We are recruiting for a number of Trainee Field Technicians who will be covering your local area. You will be required to assist in leak detection activities, pinpointing water leaks on the network. Full training is provided, no experience is required.

Overview

This role is working days - 40 hours per week. Full training will be given on the following: EUSR Water Hygiene Training and Unit 2 Street Works. This is a manual role that may involve lifting, stretching and bending. Experience of driving long hours is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and retrieve loggers (small metal listening devices) within a DMA (district metered area) for water companies.
• Deploy loggers on client furniture, most likely on fire hydrants and valves, typically 80-100 loggers deployed per day.
• Retrieve loggers 24 hours later and download data to review results; loggers record leakage noise between 2:00 and 4:00 am with results provided in decibels.
• Perform duties as part of field operations, with manual handling where required.
• Potentially suitable for candidates with a manual working/outdoor background (e.g., Driver, Van Driver, Multidrop Driver, Meter Reader, Noise Logging Technician, Field Technician, Labourer, Warehouse Operative).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A full UK manual driving licence.
• A vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work purposes.

This role is subject to compulsory drug and alcohol testing and DBS checks.
