NOC Engineer - Nights
Location: Remote, occasional travel when required for team meet ups/data Centre visits
Salary - £32,000 - £36,000 per year + Shift allowance
Hours - 4 on 4 off, Monday - Sunday shifts

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in 4 on 4 off night shifts,
- Monitor the performance of our access and ISP networks, identifying, fixing and escalating issues to resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve customer-impacting incidents.
- Support the deployment of new infrastructure, including access Points of Presence (POPs) or data centres (DC)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring tools and operational workflows to enhance network visibility and efficiency.
- Provide support for our platforms, primarily Linux-based systems deployed both on-premises and in AWS.
- Carry out standard changes on the network during planned works windows in assistance with the senior noc engineer(s) and or network engineering team
- Provide support to the field/install/maintenance team(s) with technical support
- Provide support for the customer service team(s) with technical support
- Manage outages to resolution keeping the stake holders updated while following the incident management process
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience working in a service provider (SP) or ISP environment, or supporting production networks.
- Familiarity with network protocols and technologies such as BGP, MPLS, and XGS-PON.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Scripting or automation experience with Python would be useful
