Night Support Worker Vacancy

A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker in the Buckinghamshire area. This would be a temporary to permanent contract and you’ll be required to work 42 hours per week.

Length: 3 months Temporary to permanent

Hours: 42 hours a week, Night shifts – 9pm – 8am on a 4 on 4 off basis

Location: High Wycombe

Pay: £13.87 per hour PAYE including holiday pay (£27,037 permanent salary)

The role involves:

  • Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
  • Controlling access to the building
  • Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
  • Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
  • Dealing with health and safety issues
  • Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
  • Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
  • Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
  • Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise

Additional requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position working night shifts
  • UK Drivers License
  • An enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with vulnerable clients
