This entry-level position is ideal for those passionate about cybersecurity, providing guided training and career growth opportunities. Salary range is £27,000 - £32,000, with benefits including medical insurance and flexible work environment.
Evalian is a UK based consultancy specialising in cyber security, penetration testing, data protection and ISO compliance. We are excited to be expanding our cyber security offering to encompass managed security services, specialising in security monitoring, threat detection, and response. As we expand, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic SOC Analyst to join our team and help protect our customers from cyber threats. This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone passionate about cybersecurity who wants to build a career in security operations.
This is a fantastic role for someone with a passion for cybersecurity who wants to build a career in security operations, working in a dedicated night shift position on a 4 on / 4 off rotation.
As a Night Shift L1 SOC Analyst, you will be part of our 24 / 7 security operations capability. You will act as the first line of defence for our customers, monitoring security alerts, triaging potential threats, and escalating incidents when necessary. Working nights means you will be a critical part of ensuring continuous protection for our customers outside of business hours.
The salary will depend on your experience and qualifications but will be in the range of £27,000 - £32,000 plus benefits.
Employees get 20 days of annual leave per year plus your birthday day off and access to our pension scheme. Benefits include private medical insurance, dental cashback, optical cashback and life insurance cover.
Shift pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off (12‑hour shifts).
The role will initially be home‑based while we transition to a new office location that can support a 24 / 7 operation. Candidates should therefore live within reasonable travel distance of Winchester, as the role will move to being office‑based once the new office is established.
When working from home, you must maintain a dedicated, secure workspace and a reliable internet connection.
You will be required to attend the current Winchester office for initial training and induction (approximately 4–6 weeks).
Once the new office is operational, the role will primarily be office‑based to support collaboration, training, and team culture.
From time to time, you may be required to attend client sites, company offices, or events. Reasonable notice will be provided, and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
We are committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
