About The Role

Role: Night Porter

Location: Malmaison Brighton

Pay: Up to £12.60 per hour (including Service Charge via TRONC) + Loyalty Bonus = total potential earnings of £12.80 per hour.

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the brand are maintained. As guests sleep, the Nights team keep everything running like clockwork. Your duties include taking responsibility for the Food & Beverage Department during the night, welcoming guests in a friendly and helpful manner, keeping public areas immaculate, and preparing meeting and event spaces for the next day. You will assist guests with their luggage, handle enquiries, and carry out nightly Health and Safety audits. You will need to be organised and an excellent communicator.

Experience of working in a similar role is beneficial, and experience of night shift work is essential. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and can offer flexibility for shifts and days. Shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview. We provide career training including nationally recognised apprenticeships alongside brand training to support customer experiences. Successful candidates can progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.

About You & Availability

We are busy primarily in the evenings and at weekends. We are able to discuss shifts and contracted hours at interview.
