A local government authority in Barry seeks a Care Assistant to provide personal and emotional care for older adults in a residential setting at night. Applicants should possess knowledge of person-centered care and be able to communicate effectively. Training opportunities are available for those without formal qualifications. This role includes a rotating shift pattern, specifically from 9 pm to 7 am, and entails working 20 hours a week with pay rates starting at £13.05 per hour.
Pay Details: Qualified to City and Guilds level 2 (Core and Practice) or equivalent: Grade 4 - £25,583 to £26,403584 pro rata, £13.26 - £13.69 /hr.
Unqualified/working toward City and Guilds level 2 (Core and Practice): Grade 3 – £25,185 pro rata, £13.05 /hr.
Hourly rate enhancements are paid for unsociable hours, weekends, and bank holidays (plus lieu day for bank holidays).
