Overview

We’re expanding our team and are looking for a Night Care Assistant to join us at Maurice House. This role offers 36 hours per week, with shifts between 19:45 and 07:45, Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our residents, many of whom have served in the Armed Forces.
• Assist with personal care and support residents with their daily routines, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
• Help with mobility, nutrition, and medication as required, and work closely with colleagues to provide a safe, welcoming environment.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification is desirable, with support available to achieve it if you are committed to progressing your career.
• Passion for delivering excellent care and putting people at the heart of everything you do.
• Ability to work night shifts (19:45–07:45).

The Royal British Legion operates six care homes across the UK, dedicated to providing exceptional residential, nursing, and dementia care to veterans and their families. At Maurice House, fostering a supportive community is paramount. The home features a specialized dementia lodge, 12 acres of grounds, 77 en-suite bedrooms, and comfortable lounges. Our expert care team provides specialized support, including dedicated care within the dementia lodge for up to 30 residents.
