Network & Communications Architect

A Network & Communications Architect is required by Whitehall Resources for our client based in the Northwest of England. This is a permanent position offering up to two days of remote work per week. The role involves working within a centralized IT team supporting global business operations, with occasional travel across Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing critical network and communication systems across various sites worldwide. Strong stakeholder and communication skills are essential.

Requirements include:

• Experience with large-scale LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wireless networks
• Hands-on expertise with Aruba LAN/WLAN, Fortinet Firewalls, NAC systems
• Knowledge of secure remote access, Microsoft Windows Server networking, DNS/DHCP, VMware ESX networking
• Understanding of ITIL, change control, disaster recovery
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable qualities include:

• Ownership of critical global communication infrastructure
• Ability to define and deliver networking roadmaps
• Leadership in business continuity, security, and infrastructure optimization
