A healthcare provider in the UK seeks a nursery nurse for their Neonatal Transitional Care team at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The ideal candidate will provide care for transitional care babies, work with families, and support a multidisciplinary team. Experience in a healthcare setting is essential. This role includes shift work in the Neonatal Unit for continued development.
A new opportunity has arisen for a nursery nurse to join our Neonatal Transitional Care team at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary as we expand our service. We are a busy maternity ward caring for babies who require a higher level of care and expertise in Neonatal Transitional Care.
The ideal candidate will be joining a team of registered neonatal nurses and nursery nurses who work alongside the midwifery team and will have experience in working in caring for babies in a health related environment.
The post is predominantly on the postnatal ward, focusing on the care of transitional care babies. You will also be required to work shifts on the Neonatal Unit as part of the nursing team for continuing development and support.
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
