Job summary

A leading Housing Association in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to support safe and well-managed neighbourhoods in Swale, Kent. The role involves managing communal areas, conducting health and safety inspections, and engaging with residents. Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to work mobile across the area. This temporary, full-time position offers a pay rate of £23.60 per hour through LTD and £20.25 via PAYE, with the contract lasting 3 months.

Neighbourhood Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join a leading Housing Association, supporting safe, compliant and well‑managed neighbourhoods across Swale, Kent. This is a mobile, front‑line role focused on resident safety, building compliance and community engagement.걖Candidates must be a full UK Driving Licence holder and have access to own vehicle.

The Role

The Neighbourhood Officer will take responsibility for managing communal areas, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting safe, secure and well‑maintained neighbourhoods while acting as a visible point of contact for residents.

  • Carry out regular neighbourhood, health & safety and fire safety inspections across estates and schemes.
  • Complete welfare and vulnerability checks and produce person‑centred risk assessments where required.
  • Ensure actions from Fire Risk Assessments and building safety legislation అవకాశాలు are completed within timescales.
  • Monitor standards of communal cleaning, gardening and repairs, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Validate service charges by checking services delivered offer value for money and are accurately recorded.
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, local authorities and external agencies to resolve issues.
  • Provide clear feedback to residents following inspections, including updates on communal repairs and safety actions.
The Candidate
  • Strong knowledge of housing compliance, health & safety and fire safety within communal areas.
  • Experience undertaking estate inspections, risk assessments and managing follow‑up actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the abilityquarters to engage positively with residents and კატ stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage a mobile workload and meet deadlines.
  • Confident using housing management systems to maintain accurate records and documentation.
The Contract

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Contract, Temporary

RATE: The pay sparkle for the role is £23.60 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £20.25 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
