Overview

Job Title: Neighbourhood Officer
Salary: £34,857.09 per annum (plus ECU allowance)
Location: Shrewsbury (with hybrid working)
Hours: 37 hours per week, fixed term for up to 12 months (secondment opportunity)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our successful in-house Homes Plus Neighbourhoods Team on a full time, temporary basis for up to 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of an effective, efficient and customer focussed neighbourhood management service whilst proactively providing a focused “risk based” tenancy management service.
  • You will also be responsible for performance standards and ensure targets are achieved in relation to anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, transfer inspections, tenancy management and estate management and to monitor and report on that performance.
What skills and experience we are looking for
  • Experience and knowledge of housing legislation and best practice regarding Estate Management, Grounds Maintenance and/or Fire Risk Assessments/Block Inspections issues
  • Experience of working with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to think ahead and be pro-active on behalf of customers and the organisation
  • Experience of working with vulnerable customers, victims of environmental crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Ability to generate own ideas and develop others ideas
  • Proactive approach to customer services
  • Ability to tackle difficult situations with confidence and negotiate to reach a good solution
  • Ability to work under pressure effectively and on own initiative whilst prioritising workload with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to write logically, concisely and persuasively
  • Current valid driving licence and use of own vehicle for business use
