Job summary

A housing provider in Macclesfield seeks a Neighbourhood Officer to manage tenancy issues and improve lives within the community. The role requires knowledge of housing law and experience with challenging customers. Our client ishousingprovider in Macclesfield with over 5,000 properties across East Cheshire and the surrounding areas. They’reambitious with plans to build more homes, regenerate local areasand invest in their properties.They provide housing to those in housing need and aim to be a great landlord for their customers.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a NeighbourhoodOfficer to join theirNeighbourhood’sTeam. You will contribute to sustainable communities through managing a wide range of tenancy management issues and the efficient letting of empty properties, helping to improve lives.

The role holder will apply effective case management to support and signpost customers, to ensure they can sustain their tenancy. In addition, they will manage the customer’s tenancy in accordance withtenancy terms, to reduce tenancy breaches andwhere necessary, provide tenancy warnings.

To succeed you’llhave a working knowledge of housing law with experience of working with challenging and vulnerable customers in a face to facecustomer focused environment. You will also have experience of facilitatingmulti-agency meetings with partners and will be comfortable working in atarget-drivenenvironment.
