Compensation: £39,237- 46,064 (Depending on Experience) + Benefits

The role
As NDT Technician you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll to support to the Successor Project by carrying out the following tasks;

  • Carry out NDT in accordance with SNT-TC-1A compliant NDT Programme
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection of welds and machined components
  • Liquid Penetrant inspection of welds and machined components
  • Ultrasonic Inspection of welds and machined components
  • Work in accordance with approved Procedures and Techniques
  • Accurately report NDT activities in a timely manner
  • Work in a safe manner following approved Risk Assessments
  • Update and communicate inspection metrics in line with day to day activities
  • Please note that this position is based onsite in Rosyth, 36hrs/ week Monday- Friday dayshifts/ nightshifts on two weeks rotation.

Essential experience of NDT Technician

  • Proven knowledge of the practices and standards associated with the NDT;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Good communication / people skills;
  • Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines;
  • Proactive but with the ability to react quickly when necessary to meet challenging objectives;
  • IT ability in the practical use of Microsoft Office, and IFS
  • Ability to read and understand technical standards and drawings;
  • Ability to make decisions on own initiative;
  • Ability to analyse problems and identify practical solutions;

Qualifications for the NDT Technician

  • As a minimum hold PCN Level II in MT, PT, UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9)
  • Must be able to be fully Security Check (SC) cleared - or able to obtain
  • Proven knowledge of the practices and standards associated with the NDT;
  • VT and RT Rad Interp PCN Level 2 - desirable
  • Experience of Advanced Ultrasonic Techniques - desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
