Overview

Job Description Title: Naval Architect

We have an opportunity for a Naval Architect to support a large infrastructure programme based in the West of Scotland. This is a key role working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across Client sites.

What We Need

We need to see demonstrable experience in Naval Architecture, working on marine structures and jetties.

  • Have experience of producing robust technical justification to allow for relevant naval structural design to be authorised within a high hazard industry.
  • Be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate, maintain, decommission and re-cycle engineering processes, systems, services and products in a nuclear/high risk environment.
  • Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology.
Location

The role is Hybrid where some of the week will be spent in the office in Glasgow City Centre and some at the Client site in Helensburgh.

Security Requirements

SC Clearance. Due to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK will apply.
