Overview

A lovely family based in St John’s Wood, London, is seeking an After-School Nanny to care for their school-aged child. The primary focus of the role will be providing educational support and assisting with homework. All general nanny duties will also be required, including preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks. The ideal candidate will have experience tutoring or teaching children of a similar age, with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Patience, strong organisational skills, and reliability are essential, along with a genuine commitment to supporting the child’s learning and development. A valid First Aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday, 3:55 pm to 7:30 pm. (happy to provide more hours if needed)

Duties
  • Picking the child up from school and transporting him to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
  • Bathing the child and maintaining proper hygiene
  • Ensuring the child’s safety, well-being, and development
  • Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
  • Putting the child to bed and supporting the evening routine
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books with the child
  • Providing homework assistance and supporting the child’s educational growth
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support structure and development
  • Keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks
