Overview

A lovely family in Chiswick, London, is seeking a Full-time Nanny to care for their school-aged child while maintaining their home to a high standard of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be warm, caring, and supportive, with the ability to meet the child’s emotional needs while confidently managing all general childcare duties. They are looking for someone active, energetic, and enthusiastic who can promote an active and healthy lifestyle. The role also includes cooking and preparing nutritious meals for the family. A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
• Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
• Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
• Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support structure and development
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
• Assisting with the care of the family’s small dog

Working hours

During term time: Monday 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm; total 32 hours per week. During school holidays: Monday 7:30 am – 6:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm; total 45 hours per week, 36 hours pro rata.

Requirements

• Experience in childcare and a demonstrated ability to support a child’s emotional and educational development
