The Role

You will be required to work with a selection of students with SEND and social/cognitive needs and utilise music as a therapeutic tool to address the needs of the children, and create a personalised treatment plan to improve their wellbeing.

  • Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of children to understand their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social abilities and challenges.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate musical interventions tailored to each child's needs and goals.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize various music‑based activities, such as playing instruments, singing, songwriting, and listening to music, to achieve therapeutic objectives.
  • Documentation: Document children's progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, staff members, and caregivers to provide holistic care and support for students.
