Inspire the Next Generation Through Music

Are you a passionate Music Teacher ready to make an impact from February 2026? We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in that places creativity and the arts at the heart of student development. The school is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join their team and inspire students to explore, perform, and create.

This role offers the opportunity to teach within a supportive environment where music is celebrated, and students are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression. You’ll be joining a collaborative music department with strong leadership support and access to excellent facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available depending on experience).
  • Encourage students to explore a wide range of musical styles, instruments, and music technology.
  • Lead and support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, and performance ensembles.
  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and formal examinations.
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to whole-school events, performances, and productions.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and carers regarding student progress and achievement.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary school level.
  • Ability to play at least one instrument and/or strong vocal expertise.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for music and a commitment to inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach to teaching and learning.
