Overview

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias — Birmingham

Salary: £45k to £48k per year

Work pattern: Three-shift pattern & occasional Saturday

Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of chemical products. They’re looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their established Engineering Team. This role offers superb technical development, day-to-day variety, a dynamic working environment, excellent training and support, and a highly competitive salary and employment package.

What you’ll be doing
  • PPM and Reactive Maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and automated machinery
  • Ensuring a timely and accurate handover between shifts
  • Improving the performance and longevity of machinery, equipment and parts
  • Upholding the highest levels of Health and Safety standards
  • Supporting the maintenance team and wider engineering department
  • Ad-Hoc Facilities Maintenance rectification and improvement work
What you’ll need
  • Strong Mechanical Maintenance Skillset
  • Excellent understanding of pneumatics
  • Industry-recognized qualification (NVQ / C&G, HNC)
  • Basic Electrical Maintenance skills (replacing motors, sensors, contactors etc)
  • Appreciation for stringent Health and Safety standards
  • Fabrication & Welding (Desirable)
  • At least three years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing role (FMCG / Packaging or similar is highly desirable)
