Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join our clients team working on void social housing properties in the Walton-on-Thames area. This role involves carrying out a wide range of carpentry and associated multi-trade works to bring vacant properties back to a lettable standard.

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works including door hanging, kitchen fitting, skirting, architraves, flooring, and repairs
• Undertake associated multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and decorating as required
• Complete refurbishment and repair works on void properties to agreed standards and timescales
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Accurately record completed works using job sheets or handheld devices
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or a relevant trade (or equivalent qualification / experience)
• Proven experience working as a Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or voids
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
