Hourly rate: 14.37

Position: Multi Skilled Operative

Location: Dover

Hours: 42.5 hours per week 8am-5pm Monday - Friday

Contract: Full-Time Permanent 14.36 Per Hour company van & fuel card

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to support the delivery of high-quality refurbishment and maintenance works on pre-tenanted (void) properties. You will carry out a variety of tasks including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, tiling of kitchens and bathrooms, easing and fitting doors as well as patchwork or full redecoration. Youll be responsible for bringing properties up to void standard ensuring all works are completed efficiently and to a high professional standard.

To succeed in this role you must hold a certified core trade and possess the ability to carry out a range of additional trade tasks to support repair and refurbishment works. Youll take ownership of construction fault finding and maintenance repairs with a focus on first-time completion whilst working within time and budget constraints. A professional attitude is essential with customer experience at the heart of all interactions from communication and appearance to health and safety compliance.

All tasks will be processed electronically using a PDA including worksheets, photographic evidence, van stock replenishment and vehicle inspections. Youll be expected to keep all company assets in good condition, follow procurement procedures for materials, attend relevant training and meetings and participate in out-of-hours call out cover when required to ensure excellent service delivery.

Key Criteria
  • Previous experience as mutli skilled operative with core skills of Carpentry and Plumbing.
  • Adventurous to have skills in tilling and painting
  • UK full driving licence
  • Provide own tools
  • Experience working with PDA

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
