Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias 70/30)

Wigan

Monday–Friday, rotating 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm

Salary £44000 plus benefits

We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our clients busy Engineering team.

You’ll carry out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across a range of equipment, helping to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain and repair production machinery (electrical & mechanical)
• Support PPM schedules and improvement projects
• Diagnose PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
• Work closely with production and contractors to resolve issues quickly
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards

What we’re looking for:

• Time-served Engineer with City & Guilds (or equivalent)
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Confident with PLC fault finding and control systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
